The ceremony was held in the Agora Hall on the Pori Campus, from where the shared programme was streamed to the Rauma Campus and to the Fine Arts Campus in Kankaanpää. Students graduating from the Kuninkainen Campus in Huittinen were welcome to attend the event in Pori. In addition to the streamed section, the celebrations included campus-specific programme at the different campuses.
The ceremony featured speeches by SAMK representatives, an employer representative and a graduating student. Musical performances were held between the speeches.
The winners of the Osaaja competition were also announced in connection with the graduation ceremony. Osaaja is SAMK’s annual thesis competition, which awards the best theses of the previous year. To be eligible, the thesis must have received a grade of 5, be properly structured in terms of content and have polished language. In 2025, there were 182 theses that received this excellent grade. The number had increased compared to the previous year. The theses were divided into four categories: business, culture and wellbeing, technology and maritime management, and master’s degrees. In each category, an expert panel selected the awarded theses and gave honourable mentions.
