Cooperation Agreement with Guangdong Ocean University

SAMK and Chinese Guangdong Ocean University have signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement enables academic collaboration between the two universities.

The agreement enables academic collaboration between the two universities, especially in the fields of Maritime Management and Tourism Management. GDOU and SAMK have agreed to organize academic exchanges, develop joint educational programmes, and joint research programs.

– This agreement will greatly make the friendship stronger between Chinese and Finnish youth. GDOU will actively and effectively encourage academic and scientific research exchange between the faculties and students, says Vice-president of Guangdong Ocean University, Ms. Gao Xiumei.

– I am happy that our universities have decided to start collaborating. It will be a great possibility for both to learn about each other’s countries and cultures more, and to form long lasting friendships between students, says Mr. Jari Multisilta, President of SAMK.

Application period begins on Monday – SAMK offers a wide range of degree programmes in Finnish and English

The application period for universities of applied sciences will take place from 1 to 11 September 2025. At SAMK, applicants can choose from a diverse selection of degree programmes in both Finnish and English. Studies will begin at the start of 2026.
