Autumn applications are open – ten degree programmes available at SAMK

The autumn application periods began today. Applications close on 10 September 2026 at 3.00 pm, Finnish summer time. SAMK offers ten degree programmes starting in early 2027.

The available programmes include Bachelor’s degree programmes offered as daytime, online and blended learning, as well as two Master’s degree programmes. Three of the degree programmes are taught in English.  

One of the degree programmes open for applications is a new degree programme in Nursing aimed at immigrants and people with an immigrant background. The programme is being offered at SAMK for the first time and will be delivered as blended learning at the Pori Campus. The language of instruction is Finnish. At the beginning of the studies, students need Finnish language skills at CEFR level A2. The programme provides students with the skills needed for a wide range of roles in the social and healthcare sector.

Several study options in different fields

The English-taught degree programmes available are International Business in Rauma and International Tourism Management and Nursing in Pori.

The degree programme in International Business prepares graduates for a wide range of roles in international companies and provides expertise in managing operations throughout the supply chain, from raw material suppliers to the final consumer.

The International Tourism Management programme prepares graduates for international careers in tourism and hospitality. The programme provides expertise in sustainable tourism and service business, tourism marketing, and the design of events and experiences in multicultural environments.

The degree programme in Nursing prepares graduates to work as healthcare professionals in a wide range of settings, including primary healthcare, hospitals, private services and third-sector organisations. The degree provides the skills to promote health, prevent illness and provide evidence-based nursing care for clients and patients of all ages.

As part of the programme, a panel discussion explored different perspectives on how the education and competence of professionals in adapted physical activity have developed in the 2020s, as well as the key future competence needs and development measures.
