Visit the European Commission’s exhibition

On 26-27 September you have a chance to visit the European Commission's exhibition at SAMK’s library. The exhibition "What role for science in 21st century policy-making?" showcases concrete issues as well as the bigger challenges ahead for our society as migration, digital transformation, resilience, mobility and fairness of society. To find a sustainable common solution for each of them requires science, scientific evidence, scientific knowledge.

The exhibition promotes the scientific work of the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the European Commission’s in-house scientific service, to the outside world. It puts JRC in the spotlight at a time critical for the funding for research in the EU and makes you understand how the JRC today makes sense of knowledge, cuts through information overload and brings clarity to complexity not only to the European Commission, but to players all over the world.

The exhibition is currently travelling to a selection of destinations to further disseminate JRC knowledge. It is displayed in Pori, Finland during the Science meets Region event organised at SAMK.

26 September 2019 Satakunta University of Applied Sciences organises an event in the framework of the ‘Science meets Regions’ pilot project, funded by the European Parliament.
