SAMK presented its expertise at the Dubai Expo
SAMK presented its expertise and education services at the World Expo in December. Finland's reputation of educational expertise is well known, and there is a demand for SAMK's education export.

According to Timo Mattila, Vice President for Education, participation in the World Expo offers a unique opportunity to create versatile international cooperation.
– At the World Expo, we can highlight SAMK’s international educational offerings like never before. At the same time, we make high-quality Finnish educational expertise visible together with other Finnish actors.
Education was presented through project work and research
At the Finland Pavilion of the World Expo, SAMK met its Gulf partners and customers of educational export.
SAMK’s expertise was presented through project learning and research projects. Henna Tammisto, Project Manager, presented the XRKauppa project, in which students have been involved in creating the AR application. Taina Jyräkoski, Project Researcher, presented the research with the lower limb robot exoskeleton. Exoskeleton used in neurological walking rehabilitation is also utilised in teaching and in cooperation with companies and hospitals.
SAMK is part of a cluster coordinated by Education Finland, which has a total of 14 organisations in the field of education. Finland presents itself at the World Expo under the theme Sharing Future Happiness. The Finland Pavilion includes 120 companies and organisations.
Education Finland’s permanent exhibition on Finnish education is available throughout the entire World Expo from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. The second thematic days in the field of education will be held on 1-2 February 2022. This is the first time the World Expo is arranged in the Middle East.
