Application period to SAMK started

The application period to the degree programmes taught in English at SAMK is now open and ends on 16 February 2022. There are in total nine different Bachelor´s degree programmes and one Master´s degree programme available.

SAMK has to offer seven full-time study Bachelor´s degree programmes, two Bachelor´s degree programmes taught mostly online as distance studies, and one Master´s degree programme.

Master’s degree programme in Maritime Management is offered to sea captains and marine engineers. Master’s programme has been tailored for professionals who want to deepen their managerial expertise in digitalizing and automating shipping as well as gain economical, legal and contractual expertise in maritime business.

In addition to the Master’s degree programme in Maritime Management, it is possible to complete studies in English in the following full-time Bachelor’s degree programmes: Artificial Intelligence, International Business, International Tourism Management, Mechatronics, Nursing, Physiotherapy or Sea Captain. There are also two Bachelor’s degree programmes that can be completed almost entirely as online studies: Industrial Management and Logistics.

The application period ends on 16 February 2022 at 3:00 p.m. (Finnish time, EET). All the degree programmes that can now be applied to will start in August-September 2022. The application takes place at studyinfo.fi.

From Thailand to Finland, Mechatronics student ‘Ken’ Jirayu Vasutheprungsun found not only a practical and hands-on approach to engineering studies at SAMK, but also a chance to pursue his passion for technology, racing culture, and building a future in Finland.

Growth continues – A record number of students graduated from SAMK again in 2025

In 2025, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) once again reached a record high in the number of graduates. The number of graduates has increased for several consecutive years.
