Why study in Finland?

A safe, modern, student-friendly country where education truly puts students first.

Finland is consistently ranked among the world’s top countries for education, safety, and quality of life. For Nepali students, it offers a balanced, supportive environment where you can focus on learning, growing, and building your future.

Cost of studies and living

Tuition fees for our Bachelor’s programmes range from 9,500 EUR to 10,500 EUR, depending on the specific programme and institution. Each institution also provides a variety of scholarship opportunities. Full details can be found on the individual degree programme pages of each university as well as on StudyInfo.

Finland is a high‑quality but relatively high‑cost place to live. While the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) sets the official minimum at 800 EUR per month, we recommend budgeting 800 EUR – 1000 EUR per month to cover typical living expenses such as food, accommodation, and local travel. Your exact costs will depend on the city. It’s a good idea to review living costs and anticipate upcoming expenses in advance to ensure a smooth start to your studies.

Rakshya Lamichhane, Nursing student

“Moving to Finland from Nepal has been a life-changing journey. Finland has taught me resilience, patience, and how to appreciate a quieter life, while helping me grow more confident and independent. I’m passionate about healthcare and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I enjoy hands-on learning, working in teams, and bringing empathy and compassion into my nursing practice.”
