Situation in Ukraine – Students’ well-being is important
The situation in Ukraine can also be seen in Finland and in the activities of higher education institutions. Nevertheless, Finland continues to be a safe place for everybody to study and live.

As part of the well-being for all, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences wants to emphasize that all people are equal. SAMK has no students or staff in Ukraine. Yet, SAMK has people from countries for whom the situation can be particularly difficult. In international activities, SAMK follows the values and restrictions outlined by Finland and Europe on a broader level. SAMK does not tolerate any kind of discrimination or inappropriate behaviour based on nationality or origin.
The well-being of SAMK students is important. SAMK has compiled a comprehensive list of services that support students’ well-being.
Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, together with other universities of applied sciences, has shown its support for Ukraine and its higher education community with the statement (in Finnish) of the Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences Arene.
