The application period for this autumn has ended – a considerable number of applicants

The application period for SAMK's degrees has ended. There were a total of over 6,200 applicants for degree programmes in English in the autumn.

A total of about 43,500 applications were submitted nationwide for the joint application system of universities this autumn. SAMK received a total of almost 1,700 applications, and more than 700 of them were primarily addressed to SAMK. A total of over 6,200 applications were submitted for a separate application system for degree programmes in English.

The most popular of the degree programmes in English was International Business, which had more than 4,000 applicants. Applicants were also interested in the Degree Programme in Nursing in English, with almost 2,200 applicants.

As in previous years, the most popular of the degree programmes in Finnish was the online Business Administration, which had more than 1,100 applicants. The attractiveness of the programme in relation to primarily places available was 10,7.

There were 10 degree programmes from SAMK in the autumn, four daytime studies, two blended learning studies and two master’s degree programmes. The studies will begin in January 2023.

Application period begins on Monday – SAMK offers a wide range of degree programmes in Finnish and English

The application period for universities of applied sciences will take place from 1 to 11 September 2025. At SAMK, applicants can choose from a diverse selection of degree programmes in both Finnish and English. Studies will begin at the start of 2026.
