OpenSAMK again brought secondary school students to campus

SAMK had an OpenSAMK event in Pori. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the education on offer and get answers from students to questions about different fields of study and studying in general.

OpenSAMK, or Open Doors Day, was again held at the Pori Campus. The event provided a comprehensive presentation of SAMK’s degree programmes to secondary school students, teachers and career guidance staff. OpenSAMK was attended by visitors from all over Satakunta.

As in previous years, the event included presentations of degree programmes and training, student interviews and a tour of the learning environments. During OpenSAMK, a learning info session for career guidance starr was also organised, with a variety of speakers.

At OpenSAMK, current students played a central role, presenting their field of studies and talking about their studies through their points and in interviews. Students also led guided tours of the robotics and mechanical engineering laboratory.

In 2025, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) once again reached a record high in the number of graduates. The number of graduates has increased for several consecutive years.
