In 2025, a record number of degree students graduated from SAMK, totalling 1,509 students (1,320 in 2024).   Of these, 1,260 completed a bachelor’s degree (1,084), and 249 completed a master’s degree (236).

The total number of degrees awarded increased significantly, with growth in bachelor’s degrees exceeding the national average among Finnish universities of applied sciences.  SAMK’s share of all degrees awarded by Finnish universities of applied sciences rose to 4.24 per cent (3.96 per cent in 2024).

The proportion of students graduating within the normative duration of studies improved slightly, increasing to 67.70% (67.25%). In addition, SAMK’s share of all master’s degrees awarded by Finnish universities of applied sciences remained strong at 3.64% (3.91%).

In the AVOP* feedback survey conducted among 2025 graduates, SAMK received very positive evaluations.

The results of the career follow-up survey indicate that SAMK graduates’ careers are built on a solid foundation, also in the long term.

Graduates report that their degree has continued to support their career even five years after graduation, and approximately 70% have been continuously employed since graduation. In addition, around 70% are working in a field corresponding to their degree five years after graduation.

The volume of research activities also increased by 35%, reaching approximately EUR 7 million. This is a significant growth and demonstrates the strong development of SAMK’s RDI activities.

* AVOP is a feedback survey in which students evaluate and provide feedback on their completed education. The survey results are used both locally to develop the higher education institution’s activities and nationally to steer and fund higher education.  All degree students graduating from Finnish universities of applied sciences complete the survey.
