A police incident at the Pori Campus today

The police received a report of an possibly armed individual on the SAMK Pori Campus this morning, Friday, April 17.

The police have apprehended the suspect. The police are investigating the incident and conducting necessary investigative procedures on-site. The situation on campus is calm, and there is no longer any danger to bystanders. The police are not aware of any casulties.

Support has been offered to those present. Students and staff have been internally informed about follow-up crisis support.

266 students graduated from SAMK in May

Altogether 266 students graduated from SAMK in May. 19 of them graduated with a Master’s degree. SAMK congratulates all the graduates.

Registration for the graduation ceremony is open until the end of May

The graduation celebration Publiikki will be held at Satakunnan ammattikorkeakoulu on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM. All students who have graduated or are planning to graduate during the academic year 2025–2026 are welcome to attend the celebration.
