SAMK celebrated the graduates – See the photo gallery

SAMK celebrated the graduates after a few years' break. All students who graduated from SAMK in the academic year 2021–2022 were invited.

The ceremony began with speeches by Timo Mattila, Vice President for Education, and Jari Multisilta, Managing Director, President. Anne Pohjus, Principal Lecturer and representative of the Thesis Competition jury, also gave a speech about the Osaaja Thesis Competition. The competition annually awards prizes to the best theses from the previous calendar year. Elviira Tuomi had a graduation speech. She graduated from SAMK in May with a Bachelor of Engineering.

Music was provided by Heta Halonen, finalist at the Tangomarkkinat, a tango singing competition in Seinäjoki.

Tourism education receives top results in the national student questionnaire: SAMK graduates appreciate their education

The national student questionnaire measures the satisfaction of graduates each calendar year, regarding, for example, the content of education and connections to working life. SAMK graduates from 2023 were highly satisfied with their studies, helping the field of education to be ranked first in the country.

SAMK's Winter School brings culture and insights to Taiwanese senior high school students

For two weeks, SAMK has been hosting visitors from Taiwan. The group consists of about thirty students from two senior high schools, New Taipei Municipal Jhangshu International Creative Technical High School and Living Word Lutheran High School. The students are accompanied by one teacher and two principals.

SAMK's double degrees open doors to the world

At SAMK, it is possible to complete a double degree in some fields. This means that a student can obtain a degree from both SAMK and one of its partner higher education institutions.
