In the discrimination-free zone campaign, organizations and work communities express their commitment to the principle of non-discrimination. Becoming a discrimination-free zone means opposing discrimination, addressing the issue and recognising equality between people.

The declaration is also a sign to students, staff members, job seekers and other stakeholders that SAMK welcomes all people irrespective of gender, age, ethnic origin, religion or belief, opinion, health, disability or sexual orientation.

Taking part in the discrimination-free zone campaign encourages everyone to reflect on what non-discrimination means in their daily lives and how we can promote equality.

On our campuses and website, we will display a sign that shows that the campus wants to take discrimination and equality seriously.

SAMK encourages all higher education institutions to declare themselves discrimination-free zones.
