The event provided a comprehensive presentation of SAMK's degree programmes to secondary school students, teachers and career guidance staff. More than 500 visitors from all over Satakunta attended the OpenSAMK event.

Current students played a key role at the event, presenting their degrees and talking about their studies.

At Pori Campus there were demonstration stands of degree programmes and guided tours of learning environments such as the Simulation Centre for Health and Welfare, the robotics laboratory and the mechanical engineering laboratory. There was also a 3Wheeler built by students and Robo AI applications on display. On stage, the presenter Julle Kallio interviewed SAMK students non-stop.

At Rauma Campus the OpenSAMK event brought together businesses in the area, current students and applicants. Among other things, the sea captain and business and technology degrees were presented.
