Ikram moved to Finland to study Nursing
Ikram Darjaoui has studied her first academic year in the Degree Programme in Nursing at SAMK. In her free time, she plays floorball with other students.
SAMK ranked number one in the quality of teaching in Finland
Graduate students have evaluated the quality of teaching at SAMK as the best of all the universities of applied sciences in Finland. The fact is revealed by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture AVOP survey (University of applied sciences graduand feedback questionnaire), where graduating students are requested to evaluate and provide feedback on their education.
Application for international degree programmes starts on 9 January
Application period for degree programmes in English starting in autumn 2019 is from 9 to 23 January 2019. It is possible to apply for seven degree programmes leading to a Bachelor’s Degree at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK).
The well-being of students is our number one priority
The past few years have been exceptional for students. Most courses have been realized by distance learning and there may have been very little other interaction as well. SAMK has been planning and carrying out a wide range of activities to increase the interaction and well-being of students.
OpenSAMK again brought secondary school students to campus
SAMK had an OpenSAMK event in Pori. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the education on offer and get answers from students to questions about different fields of study and studying in general.

Master's Degree students' project supports the integration of Ukrainian immigrants increasing they knowledge
In the Degree Programme in Well-being and Health promotion students carried out a work-life-oriented research and development task in a small group. The goal of the assignment was to design a project using working methods of promoting well-being and health, from a customer-oriented perspective.
77 students graduated from SAMK in April
Altogether 77 students graduated from SAMK in April. 12 of them graduated with a Master's degree. SAMK congratulates all the graduates.
