Jarno Elo inspired students at Kickstart Keynote: step outside your comfort zone.

This year Jarno Elo took everyone in the room on an adventure that started at SAMK as a student and took him around the world first as an exchange student and then as a National Geographic photographer.

Elo emphasized the importance of stepping out of one’s comfort zone and dare to take the opportunity to go on exchange during one’s studies, as it provides unique experiences and learning opportunities, which cannot be acquired any other way. Elo also encouraged the students to participate in student events and socialize with one another as a solid network can bring you opportunities you never thought were possible.

He also recognized that it is alright not to have a plan of what happens after SAMK and that he didn’t know either when he began is studies and that’s exactly why it is a golden opportunity for students to step out of the comfort zone and go on exchange while there are no plans holding one back.
