Compulsory to use face mask on all SAMK campuses
As a responsible operator, SAMK wants to contribute to preventing the formation of wider exposures and clusters of infections and to impose a requirement to wear a face mask on its campuses.

Due to the rapidly deteriorating coronavirus situation in northern Satakunta, tuition on the Kankaanpää campus will be transferred to distance education until the end of December.
– The health and safety of students and SAMK personnel is important to us. Both the Act on Universities of Applied Sciences and the Occupational Safety and Health Act oblige us to take care of a healthy and safe study and working environment. SAMK has had a recommendation for face masks throughout the autumn, but the use of face masks has been moderate. I would like to emphasise that it is also important to follow previously issued guidelines on hand hygiene and safety distances, for example, Jari Multisilta, President/CEO of SAMK says.
