Tourism programme for adults is mainly implemented in virtual environments through guided e-learning, thus giving the student freedom to study independently, regardless of time or place. This programme consists of five modules: basics of tourism, products and services of tourism, business management, tourism marketing and a research project, including on-the-job training. The student’s skills in English will improve as part of the training is carried out in English. A versatile knowledge of languages is important in this training; in addition to English and Swedish it is necessary to master at least one more foreign language. The applicant’s previous education has to include basics of some field within tourism.
