The University of Vaasa's Master's programme in Robotics will start in Pori in autumn 2024. Applications for the Master's programme in cooperation with SAMK can be submitted between 2 and 15 May 2024.

SAMK business incubator entity called Yrityskiihdyttämö, the Enterprise Accelerator, offers a wide range of services for start-ups, including financial services for new entrepreneurs. SAMK mentors give advice for new entrepreneurs on how to draft a business plan or a market analysis. SAMK invests in students’ companies and in companies in Satakunta region in general.

Application period to SAMK started
The second joint application period for universities of applied sciences has started. The application period for Bachelor´s degree programmes in English has already been open for a week. All the application periods will end on 1 April 2020.

SAMK organised an international Business Week event focusing on locally produced food and its sustainability. The event brought together degree and exchange students from SAMK and students from Erasmus+ partner higher education institutions in Croatia, Belgium and the Netherlands.
From ideas to realization – Start-up community supports the student to become an entrepreneur
Enterprise Accelerator at SAMK has produced already 320 enterprises during its 22 years of operation. Now SAMK has invested even more in entrepreneurship and has established a proactive Start-up community, which is coordinated by Santeri Koivisto. Koivisto started as a senior adviser at SAMK last March.

According to the answers of AVOP survey the quality of education at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) was considered the best of all the universities of applied sciences in Finland.

Daniela Březinová is the first SAMK student who is graduating with a Bachelor´s degree in Hospitality Management. She comes from the Czech Republic but lives now in Finland with her Finnish boyfriend.
