SAMK's physiotherapy education is celebrating a 70-year milestone this year. To celebrate the anniversary, the programme organised a celebration seminar.

The Finnish degree programme in physiotherapy started in 1984. The English degree programme in physiotherapy started in 1994 as the first one in the Nordic countries. This combination has strengthened the programme’s versatility and international value. These 70 years consist of the two programmes together.

The programme has also received international recognition through the accreditation of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT). SAMK is the first Scandinavian and the third European higher education institution to pass the accreditation process.

To celebrate the anniversary, the programme organised a celebratory seminar, which gave the opportunity to hear the views of experts and graduates.
