The first exhibition in the art hall of SAMK Campus Pori is opened
The first exhibition in SAMK’s campus in Pori presents the most recent works of two young artists. Hanna Joronen graduated as an artist in the spring. She works in Turku now. Laura Pietiläinen is completing her last year in Kankaanpää.
PAINTINGS – HANNA JORONEN AND LAURA PIETILÄINEN
SAMK ART HALL 7 Sept–20 Oct 2017
Hanna Joronen (born in Parikkala 1993) graduated as an artist from Kankaanpää in spring 2017. Her work is characterized by dwelling on a motif and approaching it from different perspectives. When she has finished with one motif, she will move to the next one. She says that she doesn’t usually open her work thoroughly, because she thinks people should create their own interpretations. The art hall presents portraits painted by Joronen.
Laura Pietiläinen (born in Suolahti 1994) is completing her fourth year on Fine Arts Campus in Kankaanpää. She explores feelings and human relationships in the interface of abstract mass and performing arts. Carnal pleasures and sexuality are important motifs while the world of colours is soft and sensitive with pastel colours. She derives her inspiration from images seen in dreams which she refines throughout the creative process.
Open in the opening hours of the campus, on Mon to Sat.
Future exhibitions in the autumn:
27 Oct–1 Dec 2017 Juhani Tarna, 80-year jubilee exhibition
