SAMK participates in virtual Study in Europe event in Singapore

SAMK is one of the seven Finnish higher education institutions participating in Study in Europe Fair on 26 September 2020. The fair, which is organized for the first time as an online event, will have participants from 140 higher education establishments in 20 European countries.

The goal of the fair is to present on one platform the versatile European study opportunities for the Singaporean young people and their parents. The visitors to the fair have an opportunity to take part in live chats and webinars with the representatives of different higher education institutions.

The global COVID 19 pandemic has brought about new modes of operation also to the international education export. Virtually organized fairs are one way of carrying out marketing in different parts of the world.

– The stand which was assembled for the fair in Singapore by the Study in Finland team of the Finnish National Agency for Education promotes the brand Finland has as a high-quality education provider. Cooperation with other actors in the field helps us to promote the message of high-quality, work-oriented education, describes Timo Mattila, the Vice President for Education at SAMK.

Besides SAMK, Study in Europe fair will be participated by Universities of Applied Sciences Arcada, Hanken, Haaga-Helia, Lapland, Metropolia and the University of Helsinki.

SAMK today participated in Finland's largest digital security exercise Taisto. Taisto is a nationwide exercise that provides a safe opportunity to practice, test and develop digital security and to build up skills and confidence to rely on in the event of a real incident.
