SAMK will serve as a host and organizer of an international competition for business students on Rauma Campus in spring 2017. NIBS Case Competition is organized annually in different countries.
The fourth research forum between Changzhou University (CZU) and Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) was held in spring 2016. This time it was SAMK’s turn to organize the forum, and the location was Pori, Finland.

The new Bachelor Degree students began their studies at SAMK today. Master's Degree students will start their studies at the beginning of September.
The students come from France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Turkey, China and Holland. During the exchange period they will study Technology, Service Business or Tourism.
Satakunta University of Applied Sciences was the initiator on establishment of a maritime technology cooperation center (MTCC) to Africa. The center is planned to be located in Walvis Bay, Namibia. The main effort will be on reduction of greenhouse gases and increased energy efficiency in shipping industry.
NAMURBAN is a research work on urban development using Namibia as a pilot county. It brings Finnish and Namibian partners together to meet the local needs in Namibia as well as research, technology and capacity building. – With this video we want to show, how we transform research results to solutions in Namibia, says project manager Minna Keinänen-Toivola.
