SAMK offers students an international atmosphere for studying. We receive yearly over 300 foreign exchange and degree students to study with us as well as top lecturers from all over the world.
As a SAMK student you can participate in international student and trainee exchange. All studies and training periods undertaken abroad will be counted as full in your graduation.

SAMK has wide international connections and partner universities in many countries. Besides a broad selection of European countries we have partner universitities in the following countries:
Australia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Namibia, Republic of Korea, Russia, Thailand, Turkey, United States and Vietnam.

Each campus has a contact person for international affairs who can be contacted for further information about exchange studies and practical training abroad.
Internalisation at Home
Internationalisation at home literally means acquiring international experience and getting to know different cultures in one’s home country. Internationalization at home aims to ensure that also non-mobile students will benefit from international education.
SAMK has 9 bachelor degrees and 4 master degrees that are fully taught in English. SAMK also offers many selective courses in English, both online and face-to-face.
International Café, International Corner and other similar events also make sure that different cultures, languages and international atmosphere are visible on campuses.

Language and Communication Studies
SAMK offers language and communication studies that provide the students with the multilingual competencies needed in today’s working life. English and Finnish (Swedish for the Finnish students) courses are included in the curricula of the degree programmes taught in English. In addition, the students can improve the language skills needed in their field of expertise by studying elective languages such as Chinese, French, German and Spanish.
