Online entrance examination                   100 points

SAMK organizes its own entrance examination on the Internet. SAMK will send eligible applicants directions for testing the exam platform and for completing the entrance examination within two weeks of applying and presenting adequate proof of eligibility. Applicants are required to use their own computer and Internet connection.

In the entrance examination applicant’s learning skills, mathematical skills and understanding of written English are measured.

Admission requirement

Applicant is required to get at least 75 points out of the maximum 100 points to be selected as a student or to be selected to the online interview. To be considered for selection from a reserve place after the application period, applicant has to get at least 55 points from the online examination.

Industrial Management

Do you want to study a degree that qualifies you both in engineering as well as in business management? Do you want to study in English. Studies in Industrial Management Engineering include designing, planning and optimization of products and manufacturing processes with product development, purchasing, human resources management and business management. You will graduate as a Bachelor of Engineering.

SAMK students will be employed

Bachelors of Engineering have a wide variety of career paths. Graduating students find employment in many different industries from metal or marine industry to different service industries.

Study Arrangements

We offer engineering studies via distance learning which gives you an opportunity to study flexibly in your own time. You will study and communicate in a global network of students and teachers. The studies also include contact teaching days which will take place online. In addition, you need to be present in Rauma for approximately a week every semester.


We expect you to have

  • secondary school level education
  • ability to communicate, read and generate texts in English
  • well-functioning Internet access and a PC

In the autumn 2017 Bulgarian Vaklin Angelov started studying at SAMK in the English language Industrial Management engineering program. – The studies have met with my expectations. Various contact and feedback systems work well, which is important, because the studying is mainly online using different electronic systems.
