Teachers are craving for information on technology – HyteOpe Health and Welfare Technology Education ensures up-to-date teaching

Technology can increasingly be seen in the curricula of basic and vocational education. Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) offers teachers further training to support their professional skills as a part of STEM activities in RoboAI. HyteOpe education is financed by the National Board of Education and it started in autumn 2019.

Health data gives new boost to research and development

Significant steps forward are taken in Satakunta in the development of health technology and medical research. The objective of the cooperation between Satasairaala (formerly Satakunta Central Hospital) and SAMK is to harness the competence of RoboAI not only industry but also in the fields of automation, robotics, artificial intelligence and welfare technology to the benefit of medicine and healthcare.

Traditional Chinese internal martial art tai chi has been practiced at SAMK during this autumn. A small but eager group has gathered since the beginning of September under instructor Dan Wang. The entire 24-movement series is soon complete.
