You've been SAMK'D!

Sam K. was interviewed by the student union SAMMAKKO. What did they want to know and what did Sam reply.

 1. Who are you? Tell something about yourself, hobbies, family,…anything that comes to your mind.

-I’ve been Samk’d, You’ve been Samk’d and so on. That’s the key. My name is Sam K. and I’m samk’n people around the world. Mainly people but I may have samk’d some pets as well, they’re just sooo cute! One cat became Sam and now it’s studying,..what was it again you asked? About me? Yep well let’s see...

I’m a first year student and studying in all degree programmes cause I’m such a multitalented person, Gåvå från Himmelen, as they would say in Swedish if we’d be somewhere in the archipelago, but luckily we’re not and the only islands here are Kuuskajaskari and Kylmäpihlaja. My sailor brother used to work there, but now he’s just sailing back and forth the Kokemäki river as he’s stuck with one girl who studies business in Huittinen. He likes the fresh country air after sailing the waters of Caribbean.

And what it comes to my sister, she’s in Switzerland now visiting a friend of ours who was chosen as the entrepreneur of the year by the Entrepreneurship Accelerator. I’m gona be an accelerator as well as soon as I come up with an business idea, which could be tuning long boards cause I’m great in that just like in lace making, which I learnt from my mom. It might sound boring but you should just see the way I’m waving the lace sticks on my longboard. I’m gona go and show that to the dudes in Brussels as soon as I get to study exchange!

 2. What do you do? Tell us about your days and life in general, what’s important to you?

-I’m super fast and lively. I’m everywhere with everyone before you notice. I’m always jumping around and running everywhere. Even Forrest Gump can’t keep up with me! Moving from one place to another is in my blood, so just try to keep up with my tweeting in twitter!

 3. Where do you come from? Are you originally from Pori or coming from somewhere else?

-I’m Citizen Sam, and living here and there and everywhere, depending on my mood. I’m hanging at friends’ places, campus, up rows of the auditorium and especially in the sauna section of business Pori. There’s a fridge full of food and you can pop in the steaming sauna when you feel like, but don’t write this down or I’ll get in trouble. Also in Sohera there’s a fantastic cleaning closet, but I was caught there once and had quite a lot of explaining to do. In Sotepo and Mera it’s great cause they have swimming pools where you can cool off. A tramp? Me? No, no nothing like that. I’m just too busy to build a nest of my own. Think about it, more than 20 degree programmes to learn! You’d burn your feathers during the first week!

 4. How did you end up in SAMK and what are you doing there?

-Well I quess at this point I have to confess that I do have roots, and deep ones. The family of SAMK has lived here since the stone age, if you don’t believe me check the google! There’s everything. I’d like to get more young people here, some action and influence. Living expenses are low now that we have the “Slice” (=Siivu, student discount). Even I can afford to eat mayonnaise every day when I get 10% off the price. And did you notice the highlights in my hair? You also get great discounts at hairdressers.

 5. What’s your target group and how do you appeal to them?

-Target group? I like people and they like me, it’s Attraction. It wasn’t long after I started when the door of “Presidents office and administrative services” opened with high speed hitting my forehead so that I started seeing stars. But it’s understandable, they had to act quickly or they wouldn’t have caught me. So now I’m actually having a proper job, or at least a side business, being the right hand for marketing. Or was it the left hand? Anyway I got really efficient hands, even my mother always said my fingers are like bunch of river lampreys.

 6. Where can people meet you?

-Everywhere where there’s laughter and good atmosphere. I don’t have duty hours; I’m where everyone else is. My turquoise sneakers come and go when you least expect it. Become my fan in facebook and you’ll join the good mood and raffles. Did you know I have my own awesome fan products? And cause I’m always so photogenic there’s soon going to be,…Oh the interview is over? Already? You’ve got to be kidding, I just got started!

 7. What would you like to say to future and current SAMK students? Your last words:

 -YOU’VE BEEN SAMK’D!!!!
