Thesis

The course entitled ‘Thesis’ includes the actual thesis (project, work of art, device, development work, study etc.), the written thesis report and the student supervision in different stages of the thesis process.

When writing a Bachelor’s thesis, the student is expected to develop and prove his or her ability to apply his or her knowledge and skills. The thesis is always related to a practical expert assignment in the respective professional field.

When writing a Master’s thesis, the student is expected to develop and prove his or her ability to analyse and solve problems in working life and to work in independent expert duties.

Furthermore, the student shall take the maturity test related to the topic of the thesis. Maturity tests in the Faculty of Technology and Maritime Management are subject to specific procedural regulations.
