Evaluation of the thesis
The thesis is evaluated by the supervising teachers upon consulting the client. In evaluating the language, the supervisors shall consult the language teacher, if necessary. The evaluation is based on SAMK’s Performance Regulations and Procedural Instructions ME71110. The evaluation shall focus on the thesis report submitted by the student.
The thesis shall be evaluated at the scale of 1 to 5, and the thesis may also be failed. The teachers shall also give a written opinion on the thesis. For acting as an opponent, please see Supervision and phases.

BACHELOR'S THESIS
1 Choice of topic, weight 5%
– connections with professional studies in the degree programme

– definition and objectives of thesis
– selection and use of development and working methods
– management and documentation of thesis process
3 Report, weight 15%
– language competence
– appearance
4 Use of background information and sources, weight 20%

MASTER'S THESIS
