Registration, Periods and Academic Year

REGISTRATION

Every student shall enrol for attendance or non-attendance each academic year by using WinhaWille.
A student may enrol for non-attendance for a maximum period of two academic years without having to give any particular reason. This shall not shorten the duration of his or her study entitlement. Non-attendance does not have to be continuous. First year students are enrolled for attendance automatically as they confirm the study place offered.

PERIODS

The academic year at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences is divided into five periods, each approximately 8 weeks.

ACADEMIC YEAR 2011-2012

PERIOD I: 22.8. - 14.10.2011
PERIOD II: 17.10. - 19.12.2011
PERIOD III: 3.1. - 9.3.2012
PERIOD IV: 12.3. - 11.5.2012
PERIOD V: 14.5. - 18.6.2012
Christmas break: 20.12.2011 - 2.1.2012

Public holidays

There is no tuition during the following public holidays. Also banks, post offices and most shops are closed.
