Degree Certificate and Diploma Supplement

A student can apply for the Degree Certificate once she/he has completed all the required studies.

WHAT IS DIPLOMA SUPPLEMENT

Diploma Supplement (DS) is a document attached to a higher education diploma. It's aim is to improve international transparency, to improve mobility and to facilitate the academic and professional recognition of diplomas, degrees and certificates. The DS is an explanation in English of the university of applied sciences, degree certificate and about the studies included in it, as well as their level and position in the Finnish education system.

Diploma Supplement is being issued in a widely spoken European language, given automatically and free of charge to every student upon graduation.

All students graduating from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences receive a Diploma Supplement document (DS), attached to degree certificate, automatically and free of charge. A  transcript of records is attached to the Diploma Supplement and both are verified with an official stamp of SAMK.

 The DS is produced by national institutions according to a template that has been developed by a joint European Commission, Council of Europe, and UNESCO working party.
