Solving Problems in Cross-Cultural Communication
Asian studies and research have a long history at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences. Asia has been chosen as one of the three leading fields of research. Currently, the research and development has focused on China, Thailand and India. The main fields are cross-cultural management and communication as well as foreign direct investments. The aim is to increase understanding of the possibilities and challenges in Asian-Finnish business co-operation. Special attention is paid to highlighting the success stories as learning and benchmarking objects.
The results are extensively used in regional, national and international co-operation. Various forms of co-operation involve a wide range of staff members, business managers, development officers and students, for mutual benefit both in Finland and abroad.
