Yui Lintunen wants to study a degree in Finland
In June SAMK approached 5000 immigrants in the near by provinces with a postcard, asking if they were ready to take the next step in their lives. Yui Lintunen, a 25 year old Japanese girl living in Rauma, felt like the step SAMK was offering, would be just the right one for her. After signing up to SAMKs mailing list, Yui had the possibility to win a laptop, and that’s just what she did.
Yui has lived in Finland for a year after moving here with her Finnish husband. Since last autumn, she has studied Finnish language and is already managing the basics and eager to learn more.
After staying in Finland for a year, Yui feels that in order to get a job in Finland it would help to have a Finnish degree. “In Japan it is not so important what you study, as long as you get a university degree”, says Yui who has a degree in Portuguese.
Yui feels it is very good that in SAMK you get contacts to many companies already during your studies through different kinds of projects and internship. This makes it easier to find a job later on. Also the possibility to continue the Finnish language studies in SAMK is appealing to her.
Yui is especially interested in International Business and Marketing Logistics, which is running in Rauma, her new hometown.

Yui haluaa opiskella suomalaisen tutkinnon
SAMK lähestyi 5000 lähimaakuntien maahanmuuttajaa postikortilla markkinoiden opiskelumahdollisuutta SAMKissa. Vastaajia pyydettiin osallistumaan kilpailuun, jossa tiedusteltiin kiinnostusta eri koulutusohjelmiin ja tarjottiin mahdollisuutta voittaa kannettava tietokone.
Onni suosi Yui Lintusta, 25 vuotiasta Japanista lähtöisin olevaa nykyistä raumalaista. Vuoden Suomessa asunut Yui on kiinnostunut suorittamaan suomalaisen tutkinnon, koska uskoo sen helpottavan työnsaantia. Erityisesti Yuita kiinnostaa IBML, jota voi opiskella kätevästi uudessa kotikaupungissa Raumalla.
