UniPlatform Guests from Sundsvall 25.- 26.5.2009
Satakunta University of Applied Sciences participates in a UniPlatform project, funded through the Botnia – Atlantica programme. One of the most essential partners in the project is the Swedish MITTUNIVERSITETET (Mid Sweden University), which is the youngest university in Sweden. MITTUNIVERSITETET has faculties in Sundsvall, Härnösand and Östersund. Academic lecturer Lisbeth Kristiansen, international relations coordinator Barbro Dahlbäck and academic lecturer Eija Viitasara pay a visit to Finland from Sundsvall.
In the beginning of April, Director of Education Tuula Rouhiainen-Valo and R&D planner Ritva Annala participated in a UniPlatform conference in Sundsvall. One of the goals of the counter-visit from Sweden is to familiarize the guests with the Social Services and Health Care education, research and development in SAMK. The purpose of the visit is also to discuss the possibilities to collaborate in terms of the Master’s Degree Programmes. Social services and Health Care students have become increasingly interested in student exchange to the Nordic countries and especially to Sweden. The visit from the Swedish university is also an excellent opportunity to discuss the possibilities of student and staff exchange in the future.
