Elective Studies
All degrees awarded by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences include elective studies of at least 15 ECTS credits. You can choose elective studies
You can also choose courses arranged by a School at SAMK other than the one in charge of your degree programme. Of course, on-line courses are not bound to any particular place. Choose the studies on the basis of your personal interests so that they diversify or deepen your competence. For some courses you are expected to have learned the basics of the field.
Further information: the Student Affairs Office of each School will provide information on the contact persons in charge of the courses.
ELECTIVE STUDIES IN MASTER'S DEGREE STUDIES
The total amount of elective studies to be chosen is indicated in each programme’s curriculum structure. The elective courses should be chosen on the basis of students’ personal interests so that they widen or deepen students’ competence.
The learning outcomes and contents of the elective studies will be explained in detail in this booklet (pdf). Note that some of the courses are taught only in Finnish, and some only in English. Elective studies can be chosen either from this booklet’s courses or from any other Master’s degree programmes in Universities or Universities of Applied Sciences.
