Calligraphy at SAMK
Calligraphy is an art form in which beautiful hand-made texts are produced for various purposes. Satakunta University of Applied Sciences is the only University in the Nordic countries that provides extensive calligraphy studies. The Continuing Education Centre arranges calligraphy courses of different length.
The teachers of these courses are all internationally highly-valued calligraphers. The students can deepen their calligraphic skills through professional specialisation studies, with three courses to choose from. Shorter courses are also available at Open Studies.
An international calligraphy symposium is arranged in June, with participants from all over the world.
