Congratulations, you have been selected to go abroad for a study exchange period during the spring semester 2012. It is an excellent way to gain new experiences and skills to add to your studies at SAMK.

Study exchange grants, academic year 2011-2012

Opiskelijavaihtoapurahoja haetaan sähköisillä lomakkeilla:

• Kaikki Erasmus (EU-maihin) vaihtoon lähtevät opiskelijat täyttävät lomakkeen Erasmus
• Ei-Erasmus (USA, Meksiko, Venäjä, Aasiaan sekä Free mover) vaihtoon lähtevät opiskelijat täyttävät lomakkeen Ei-Erasmus

The application for the study exchange grants is done on-line.  

• All students going to Erasmus exchange (EU countries) fill in the form Erasmus
• Students going to non-Erasmus exchanges (USA, Mexico, Russia, Asia and Free Mover) fill in the form Ei-Erasmus

HUOM! Apurahalomake täytetään sähköisesti, mutta se tulee myös tulostaa, allekirjoittaa ja lähettää osoitteeseen: Satakunnan ammattikorkeakoulu, Yhteiset palvelut /Annukka Väre, Tiedepuisto 3, 28600 Pori.

Hakemus tulee täyttää 20.11.2011 mennessä. Tähän päivään menessä palautettujen sopimusten mukaiset apurahat ehtivät maksuun siten, että apuraha on opiskelijan tilillä vuoden loppuun mennessä.  

The application is to be filled in by 20.11.2011. If we receive you application by the due date, you should receive your grant by the end of the year.  

Ilmoitathan sekä allekirjoittaneelle että kohdekorkeakouluusi, jos vaihtosuunnitelmissasi tai -ajassa on tapahtunut muutoksia. Myös osoitteen ja tilinumeron muutoksista on hyvä ilmoittaa allekirjoittaneelle. Huomaa, että myös vaihtoaikanasi kaikki sähköpostitse SAMKista mahdollisesti lähtevät viestit lähetetään SAMK-sähköpostiosoitteeseen. Apurahan saajan tulee ilmoittautua läsnäolevaksi opiskelijaksi Satakunnan ammattikorkeakouluun lukuvuonna 2011-2012. Muista myös, että olet itse vastuussa tarvittavien vakuutusten ottamisesta!

Please notify both the undersigned and the host institution if there are changes in your planned period of study exchange. Let us know if there are changes in you postal address or bank account information. All the information sent via e-mail during your study abroad period will be sent to your samk email-address. You must enrol for attendance for the academic year 2011-2012. Remember also that you are responsible for arranging the necessary insurance policy for the duration of your exchange period.

Tarvittavat lomakkeet
Required documents

Opiskelijan tulee ennen vaihtoon lähtöä laatia opintosopimus (lomake KA04) ja suunnitelman ulkomaisten opintosuoritusten korvaamisesta ja hyväksilukemisesta (lomake KA03). Näiden avulla opiskelija voi suunitella ja varmistaa vaihdossa suoritettavien opintojen sopimisen SAMKissa suoritettavaan tutkintoon. Molemmat lomakket löytyvät lomakepankin kohdasta "kansainvälisyys".

Before the exchange period, the student is resposible for filling in an learning agreement (form KA04) and a plan conserning the substitution and transfer of credits (KA03). With these forms you can plan and assure that the credits done abroad will fit to your degree in SAMK. Both of the forms can be found from lomakepankki

Kuukauden kuluessa ulkomaanopintojen päättymisestä sinun tulee toimittaa kv-koordinaattorille kohdekorkeakoulusi edustajan allekirjoittama todistus vaihtojaksosi pituudesta. Todistus voi olla esimerkiksi Letter of Confirmation -lomake täytettynä (katso linkki sivun oikeassa laidassa). Tärkeää on, että todistuksesta näkyvät vaihto-opiskelusi alkamis- ja päättymispäivät. HUOM Erasmus-vaihtoon lähtevät:Todistuksen toimittaminen on tärkeä, sillä apurahasummasi tarkistetaan vaihdon päätyttyä. Mikäli esim. vaihtosi pitenee nyt ilmoittamastasi, voit saada lisää apurahaa. Mikäli et palauta todistusta vaihtoajastasi määräaikaan mennessä, voidaan apurahaa periä takaisin.

You need to return to the international relations coordinator a certificate about the length of your exchange within a month after the end of your study abroad period. The certificate can be for example the Letter of Confirmation –form or any document indication the starting and end date of your exchange period, signed by a representative of the host institute. (On the right side of the page, there is a link to an Letter of confirmtion-form). Erasmus exchange students: the grant is solely based on the length of your exchange period. If your exchange period exceeds the dates indicated in the application form you might get an extra grant. However, if you fail to return the letter of confirmation –form you may have to return a part of your grant.

Opiskelija on velvollinen heti vaihtoa seuranneen lukukauden aikana toimittamaan koulutusohjelmalle todistuksen vaihdon aikana suoritetuista opinnoista (transcript of records) sekä käytyjen kurssien kuvaukset. Korvaavuuksista sovitaan toimipisteen kv-yhdyshenkilön ja/tai koulutusohjelmavastaavan kanssa.

After the exchange period you are resposible for delivering a transcript of records and descriptions of the courses taken. Please contact the international contact person and the head of your degree programme to agree about substitution and transfer of credits.

INTO - Virtual Course on Internationalisation 

Kaikkien SAMKista vaihtoon tai harjoitteluun ulkomaille lähteviltä opiskelijoilta edellytetään vaihtoon valmentavan virtuaalisen opintojakson suorittamista apurahojen saamisen ehtona. Kurssi sisältää kolme tehtävää, joista ensimmäinen tehdään ennen vaihtoa, toinen ulkomaanjakson aikana ja kolmas vaihdon tai harjoittelun päätyttyä. Hyväksytysti suoritetusta opintojaksosta saat 2 opintopistettä.

Ilmoittaudu "Into - Virtual Course on Internationalisation" kurssille Winhassa koodilla V000142 ja valitse oman toimialasi toteutus.  Löydät kurssin moodle.samk.fi, V000142  IntoVirtual Course on Internationalisation. Jotta pääset tekemään tehtäviä sinun tulee ensimmäisellä kerralla syöttää Moodleen itsellesi sopiva avain seuraavista:

As part of preparation for the study abroad period all students of SAMK going abroad are required to do the virtual course on internationalisation in order to get the study grant. The course includes three tasks, one done prior, one during and one after the period abroad. Completing the course gives you 2 ECTS credits.

Enroll to the course in Winha with the code V000142 and pick your own faculty. You can find the actual course from moodle.samk.fi, V000142 Virtual Course on Internationalisation. In order to complete the tasks you need to enter a key to the Moodle from the suitable option below:

• LIKU study exchange: LIKU11V

Why not also do your practical training abroad?

Vaihdon aikana on hyvä miettiä, kiinnostaisiko sinua tehdä myös opintoihin liittyvä harjoittelu ulkomailla. SAMKin opiskelijoilla on mahdollisuus hakea apurahaa ulkomailla suoritettavaan työharjoitteluun, joka sisältyy opintoihin ja tuottaa opintopisteitä. Harjoittelun kesto tulee olla vähintään kolme kuukautta ja pääsääntöisesti korkeintaan kuusi kuukautta.

During your study exchange period you can think about doing also your practical training abroad. You can apply for a grant for the internship abroad if the practical training period is included in your studies and gives you credits. The practical training period abroad can be from three to six months.
