Human Ageing and Elderly ServicesÂ
Bachelor’s Degree, 210 ECTS credits
The target of this degree program is to produce professionals who are qualified to promote the well-being, health, physical activity and social participation of elderly people. The curriculum includes the following studies: geronomics, phenomena relating to ageing, methods and service systems of geronomics, diseases and social problems of elderly people, senile dementia as well as the fundamentals of leadership, management and development. The programme also includes on-the-job training in an environment of older generation. The graduates have skills to coordinate, plan, develop and implement various services for the older generation and act as experts of geronomics in social and health care fields. The graduates qualify as experts in geronomics, in diverse organizations, projects, in tasks related to senile dementia, in social and health services for families and as independent entrepreneurs.
